You have to trust me on this one, but I cannot for the life of me understand how some people consider shopping as a form of entertainment.  There are those that view going out shopping as a way of having fun.  What kind of fun is that?  For me, shopping is something that unfortunately just has to be done sometimes and however long it can be avoided the better!  From a personal point of view, it does not make any difference if this relates to food shopping, or shopping for items of clothing or even gifts.  I must confess that I been known to delay buying things that I need for a certain amount of time - until it becomes desperate!  My policy is to get all kind of shopping done as quickly as possible in order to reduce the suffering involved.

However, in spite of all this, I am well aware that there are those that regard shopping as a treat.  There are people out there that view an acquiring of purchases as a method of having fun or even a form of relaxation.  There are also those who consider shopping as a way of reducing stress.  There is none of that for me.  I buy what I need to buy when I have to buy it and then run away as fast as possible. Obviously, each different person is entitled to do what they enjoy doing, but believe me, I can think of much better ways of having fun!
